Stephen Campisi, CFA
is making his 15th consecutive appearance at PMAR USA 2017, demonstrating that there is always a place for a nice guy with good ideas who is willing to work for free. Over the past two decades he has developed several ideas that have become part of the body of knowledge for investing and performance evaluation, many of which were presented for the first time at the PMAR conference series. These include his fixed income model, his hierarchical attribution approach, money-based attribution, and the “team” approach to manager evaluation which brings the manager selection process out of the Dark Ages. Over a decade ago, he pioneered the concept of “goals-based” investing, eventually publishing this in an article focused on investment stewardship that he co-wrote with Patrick Fowler of The Spaulding Group. He has extended this concept to the requirements of fiduciary responsibility and is pleased to present this today.
