Anyone who has attempted to apply standard attribution models to multi-level situations has no doubt become quickly aware of the challenges involved. A simple way to express it is that regardless of the way one proceeds, difficulties arise. Fortunately, there is a sound, simple, straightforward, and solid solution to this situation. Campisi (2008/2009) is the responsible party for providing it, and this article applies his methodology, in a bit more of a granular fashion, so that its implementation can be broadly applied.
