TSG Promotes

John D. Simpson, CIPM to Executive Vice President

Somerset, NJ – June 27, 2017. David Spaulding, CEO and Founder of TSG, announced today the promotion of John D. Simpson, CIPM to the position of Executive Vice President.

“John joined our firm 12 years ago and has been a tremendous asset since ‘day one,’ spearheading our Western Region Operations and driving many of our training and research efforts. John has become a great ‘road warrior.’ He is a dedicated, loyal, creative, and collaborative member of our team, and contributes in so many ways to our success. He has established great relationships with many of our clients and colleagues, which makes doing business so much better for all of us. I personally thank and congratulate John for his success,” said David Spaulding, DPS, CIPM.

John is a graduate of UCLA with a BS in Applied Mathematics, where he was a member of their 1997 NCAA national championship volleyball team. He was responsible for developing our firm’s training program in support of the CFA Institute’s CIPM program. John is currently a member of the United States Investment Performance Committee’s After-Tax Working Group, working on recommendations for firms that present after-tax performance results; he has also served on other committees and working groups. John is a senior consultant, and also conducts GIPS verifications and non-GIPS verifications for many of our firm’s clients. John also serves as our Chief Ethics Officer.  Additionally, he is co-author of TSG’s Guide to the Performance Presentation Standards: Second Edition (TSG Publishing, 2012).
