Performance Measurement Outsourcing: worth considering?

Performance Measurement outsourcing

A topic that often arises at our Performance Measurement Forum meetings is outsourcing: that is, whether or not firms should consider outsourcing some or all of their performance measurement function, what firms are outsourcing, and what’s the experience been.  Performance measurement outsourcing has been with us for over a decade, and there have been a growing number of firms who’ve considered and/or implemented it.

When I met with legendary investor and Batterymarch co-founder Dean LeBaron more than 25 years ago, he mentioned how if he could, he’d get rid of all of his own software (his firm was well known for what they crafted), and focus solely on investing, because that’s what they got paid for. I suspect he might have said the same thing about his performance measurement department, had outsourcing been an option at the time.

Clearly, outsourcing isn’t for everyone, and outsourcing isn’t necessarily a panacea. However, it is an option that many think has value.

Performance Measurement Outsourcing webinar: October 6, 11 AM – 12 Noon, EST

We’re jointly hosting a webinar on October 6, with our friends from SS&C, to discuss this matter a bit further. Performance measurement outsourcing will continue to be a topic that’s debated, discussed, and addressed. We think you’ll gain a great deal from this relatively short session.

The title of this webinar is How to Scale Shrinking Middle Office Resources Using Outsourcing Resources. To register, please visit this site. The webinar’s free, and we already have more than 100 registrants. Please sign up today, as space is limited.
